Overview
If you are sending an invoice or other PDF document via email and the PDF file is not attached, follow the troubleshooting steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting 1: Change the Default Mail Server
If your default mail server is not set to Moon Mail Server, change it to Moon Mail Server and then try sending the email again.
Steps to Change the Default Mail Server
Step 1: Open App Settings
- Open the Moon Invoice app.
- Go to Settings → App Settings.

Step 2: Select Moon Mail Server
- Click General
- Locate the Default Mail option.
- Select Moon Mail Server from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.

Expected Result
The default mail server is set to Moon Mail Server, and PDF attachments should be included when sending emails.

Troubleshooting 2: Check the <pdf_file> Tag in the Email Template
If the <pdf_file> tag is missing from the email template, the PDF document will not be attached to the email.
Steps to check and add the <pdf_file> Tag
Step 1: Open Email Templates
- Open the Moon Invoice app.
- Go to Companies.
- Click Email Templates.

Step 2: Select the Required Module
- Open the module for which the PDF is not being attached.
- Invoice
- Estimate
- Proforma Invoice
- Sales Receipt
- Delivery Challan
- Credit Note
- Purchase Order
- Bill
- Payment Reminder
- Or any other applicable module

Step 3: Check the <pdf_file> Tag
- Review the email template body.
- Verify that the <pdf_file> tag is included in the template.
- If the tag is missing, add <pdf_file> to the email template.
- Click Save.
