Explanation of Three Types of Pricing in Moon POS
To provide flexibility in managing product prices across different sales channels, Moon POS supports three types of pricing:
1. Product Selling Price
This is the base price of the product. It indicates the minimum or standard rate at which the product is affordable to sell.
When a selling price is entered for the first time, it is automatically applied as both the Offline Listing Selling Price and the Online Listing Selling Price by default.
2. Offline Listing Selling Price
This is the price set specifically for offline/checkout sales. It ensures that in-store transactions reflect the correct pricing, independent of online sales.
3. Online Listing Selling Price
This is the price set for online orders. It allows businesses to maintain different pricing strategies for online sales, such as discounts, offers, or higher margins.
How Each Price Works
Product Selling Price → The base price of the product. Used for reference and internal cost management.
Offline Listing Selling Price → The price applied during checkout in physical store sales.
Online Listing Selling Price → The price applied for online orders.
How to Update Prices
- When updating from the Menu page:
- A popup called Update Pricing is provided.
- Users can directly update the Offline Listing Price or Online Listing Price here.
- This ensures checkout and online order pricing stays consistent with changes.
- When updating from the Product section:
- The change applies only to the Product Selling Price.
- This is treated as an internal product update and will not affect checkout or online listings.
