The Salesperson feature helps you assign sales representatives to sales transactions, display salesperson information on the document, and automatically include salespeople's email addresses when sending transaction emails.
Enable the Salesperson Field
Before assigning a salesperson, you must enable the Salesperson field for the required module.

Add a New Salesperson
Steps to Create a Salesperson
- Open a supported sales transaction.
- Click the Salesperson dropdown.
- Select Manage Salesperson.
- Click the Plus (+) button.
- Enter the salesperson's details:
- Name (Required)
- Email Address (Optional)
- Click Save.
The Salesperson will be added successfully.

Assign a Salesperson to a Transaction
Steps to Assign a Salesperson
- Open or create a sales transaction
- Click the Salesperson dropdown.
- Select the required salesperson.
- Save the transaction.
The selected salesperson will be linked to that transaction.

View Assigned Salesperson Information
Once a salesperson is assigned, their information is displayed in the transaction details screen. This helps identify the sales representative responsible for the transaction.

Send Information to Salesperson via Email
You can automatically include the assigned salesperson in transaction emails.

Email Behaviour
- Do Not Send - The salesperson will not receive a copy of the email.
- Send as CC - The salesperson’s email address will be added to the CC field.
- Send as BCC - The salesperson’s email address will be added to the BCC field.
When a transaction email is sent, the assigned salesperson’s email address is automatically added according to the selected setting.

The Salesperson feature is available in the following sales modules:
- Invoice
- Proforma Invoice
- Estimate
- Delivery Challan
- Credit Note.

Notes
- The Name field is mandatory when creating a salesperson.
- The Email field is optional, but recommended if you want to send email copies to the salesperson.
- Salespersons cannot be deleted; they can only be archived.
- Updates made to salesperson information are reflected in both the new and previously assigned transactions.
- PDF appearance may vary depending on the selected template.
