Overview
This guide explains how to remove tax assigned to a product or disable a tax as the default tax for products in Moon POS.

Scenario 1: Remove Tax Assigned to a Product
Step 1: Open the Moon POS Application
- Open the Moon POS application.

Step 2: Open the Product Section
- From the left menu, navigate to Items.
- Select Products.

Step 3: Edit the Product
- Select the product from which you want to remove the tax.
- Click the Edit icon in the top-right corner.

Step 4: Remove the Tax
- Locate the applicable tax field under Pricing & Tax.
- Remove or change the assigned tax as required.’
Note: If the product has both Buy Price and Sell Price Tax configured, check both fields and remove the tax where required.

Step 5: Save the Changes
- Click Save.

Scenario 2: Remove a Tax as the Default Tax for Products.
Step 1: Open the Companies Section
- From the left menu, navigate to Companies.
- Select the required company.

Step 2: Open Taxes
- Open Taxes from the company settings.
--------------------------------
Step 3: Disable the Default Product Tax
- Select the tax that is currently set as the default.
- Open the tax details.
- Under Default Tax, uncheck Product.

Step 4: Save the Changes
- Click Save.

Important Notes
- Follow the scenario that matches your requirement.
- Removing a tax from a product is different from disabling a tax as the default for products.
- In Scenario 2, unchecking Product prevents the selected tax from being used as the default tax for products.
- Make sure you click Save after making the changes.

Expected Result
After saving the changes:
- Scenario 1: The selected product no longer has the assigned tax.
- Scenario 2: The selected tax is no longer set as the default tax for products.
